The
Inaugural Service of Our
First Church of American Slaves!
On Sunday, July 3, 2011,
we came together
and rejoiced at the First Church of American Slaves and also
celebrated the 10th Anniversary of American Slaves, Inc. The Rev.
Johnny Young, our first pastor, conducted afternoon services at our sanctuary
located at 314 Dr. W. J. Hodge Street in Louisville, Kentucky.
Our pastor now is
Rev. M. W. Frye.
The First Church
of American Slaves is intended to be a place where Descendants of American
Slaves can flock for worship. We will not compete with other churches and
beliefs. Our effort is to unite all churches in the American Slave
Community — in the name of God.
Below are
photographs taken at the services and fellowship during our very first
public meeting, and we cordially invite you to join with us at our weekly
services, ever Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
